Once in a while I get asked if I believe in the CJ system and my immediate answer is that I have the utmost confidence in my fellow LEO's to do the job of finding criminals. I have very little confidence in the court system, especially the judges and some at certain DA's office.
I tell those asking to take a day off from work or next time they get a jury notice to actually show up and even if excused to go sit in a high traffic room, like DUI or domestic violence court. What they will see will probably make them extremely apprehensive about the court system, especially some judges and prosecutors.
But do not take my word for it, go see it for yourself, and next time the local judges come up for election you know how to vote.
