  1. OY.....reholstering AIWB without looking down just really bugs me......it's the new "it" thing, it seems.

    1. I guess it depends on how you like to carry. I do not like to carry AIWB, but I do when I want to wear normal clothing. I have a Raven Vanguard 2 clip on trigger guard holster that I tied some 550 cord to and tie it to my belt. The draw stroke is not the same every time, that is the single biggest issue for me. Other than that, I can wear a t-shirt or polo shirt without having to worry about printing. Guess it depends on the environment and circumstance.

    2. I also use a Vanguard 2 from time to time, but mainly stick with a Blade-Tech IWB around 3 o'clock. I have carried AIWB when I want to just wear a t shirt or something minimal. Recently, I have lost a lot of weight and a lot of clothing is just TOO big. I do like the fact that to reholster, I have to actually think, take off the Vanguard and then loop on the belt. I saw a video of Kyle Defoor reholstering AIWB and his lean back and check to make sure nothing is in the holster technique made a lot of sense to me.

    3. I do not use the rubbery/leathery attachment point, I removed it. I use some 550 cord I cut to fit my draw stroke.

    4. It's not very stable even with the rubbey/leathery loop. I have been looking into a dedicated AIWB rig, but until then, THe Vangaurd 2 works for what I need it to do. I do like the 550 cord idea, especially since you can cut it to fit your needs.

    5. Sorry...I am apparently at my spelling/proper grammar and punctuation limit for the day.

    6. I like how it feels. I have an AIWB kit on order from Dark Star Gear. So I will try it out. I do not usually carry AIWB, but it has been more comfortable in the summer months.

    7. I do prefer the comfort especially in the summer. You're already hot and uncomfortable, why add an uncomfortable holster into the mix? I saw the Dark Star AIWB and thought it was a cool design, I also browsed a few other options on M4C.net and have a mini wish list going on. Are you going to review the Dark Star AIWB when you get it?

    8. Yea I will do an initial impressions post w/ pix and then a review after I wear it for a while, as is standard.
